On the evening of May 28, 2025, Yeshiva K’tana of Waterbury proudly hosted the Masmid Govoha New England Banquet, a special event recognizing the achievements of outstanding talmidim from across the region. Boys from Providence Hebrew Day School and Torah Academy of Boston joined the celebration, which honored participants from Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island who excelled in the Masmid Govoha program.
The evening began with an energetic game of basketball in Yeshiva K’tana’s state-of-the-art gym, fostering camaraderie and excitement among the boys. Following the activity, the talmidim enjoyed a delicious fleishig supper while Rabbi Yehuda Brecher, Menahel of Yeshiva K’tana, warmly welcomed everyone and introduced the program.
Boys from each of the yeshivos shared divrei Torah. The highlight of the evening was an inspiring address by Rabbi Eli Blitz, a beloved rebbe at Mesivta Yesodei Hatorah, who captivated the audience with divrei chizuk and inspiration.
The program concluded with a lively raffle featuring a Shas set and other valuable prizes. In addition to dessert, all participants received gifts to commemorate their accomplishments.
The evening left the boys from all over New England uplifted and motivated, returning home with a renewed commitment to limud haTorah and continued growth in their learning.
