Stop & Shop has donated $10,000 to establish a food pantry in the Boys Building of Yeshiva K’tana of Waterbury. The pantry will provide snacks and food for both students and teachers, supporting their daily needs throughout the school day.
This marks the first time Stop & Shop has opened a pantry in a Yeshiva. Earlier this month, members of the company’s corporate staff attended the official opening. They expressed appreciation for the atmosphere of the Yeshiva and the impact of the initiative.
One Jewish staff member of Stop and Shop noted, “We have opened so many of these pantries, but this one is the most meaningful—because it’s in a Yeshiva.”
The Yeshiva expressed gratitude to Stop & Shop for their generosity and support of the school community.
