As the dark winter begins and the days get shorter and colder, we in Yeshiva K’tana of Waterbury illuminated the world. On November 4th, thirty-six boys in 3rd grade received their משניות at a beautiful מסיבה. Rabbi Brecher began the program talking about how תורה שבעל פה is a ברית that no one can take away. The boys then had the privilege of hearing Rabbi Shlomo Gigi speak about the פרשת השבוע. Afterwards, the boys sang a beautiful song to the tune of וזקני, prepared by their rebbeim, Rabbi Bloom and Rabbi Oratz. They sang about the חשיבות of משניות and learning תורה. Then, each of the boys received his משנה and participated in dancing in an atmosphere filled with simcha and excitement.
We wish the boys much hatzlacha in their learning!
