Yeshiva K’tana’s campus was surveyed by local and state security experts who directed us to implement essential security measures immediately. Most importantly, Yeshiva K’tana needed to enclose the entire perimeter of the campus with a security fence. In October 2018, Yeshiva K’tana launched its security and safety campaign. Within just a few short weeks, through the donations of the parent body, community members, grandparents, and friends, we had raised enough funds to purchase the fence and move forward with this initiative. As of December 2018, the fence has gone up, gates have been installed, and wiring for electronic keypads at each gate in the fence are being laid. We still have work ahead of us, and feel confident that with continued support, we will be able to implement all of the recommendations needed to ensure the safety of our students and staff.
