Mr. Moshe Bree served as the master of ceremonies for the evening. The Chief of Staff for the Mayor of Waterbury shared words of greeting and appreciation on behalf of the city.
A special presentation was made to the menahel, Rabbi Yehuda Brecher, by the rebbeim in recognition of his tireless energy and devotion to the yeshiva and to each talmid. Rabbi Brecher then spoke about the partnership between the school and its parents, which was the theme of the evening.
This was followed by a video message from the incoming Head of School, Rabbi Avrohom Drandoff.
Rabbi Dovid Darabaner, a founding member of Kollel Avreichim and currently a rebbi at Mesivta Yesodei HaTorah of Naugatuck, spoke on behalf of the parent body about the deep partnership they feel with the school. He highlighted the simcha that fills the yeshiva and how that joy transforms the children and their learning.
The program concluded with a moving performance by the Yeshiva K’tana boys’ choir, led by R’ Elisha Freedman.
